Marbella · Character villa property photography
A villa of books, tiles and greenery in the Marbella hills
This house did not need to look like something else. Rather than visually erasing its personality to make it resemble a contemporary villa, I built the shoot around what makes it unrepeatable: terracotta floors, pale green joinery, a well-used library, patterned tiles and the vine-covered terrace. The sequence moves from the vaulted living room and fireplace through the dining room and kitchen, then outside to the veranda and finally the garden and pool. Each image adds context without losing the home’s lived-in character. The result is an honest presentation of a villa in the Marbella hills, with scale, atmosphere and an identity a buyer can still remember after closing the listing.
The photographic approach
A clear visual story for this property
I treated the shoot as a portrait of the house rather than a transformation. Wide compositions preserve the height of the vaulted living room and the relationship between the library, fireplace and furniture; tiles, joinery and terracotta floors build continuity, while the vine-covered terrace leads naturally to the garden and pool.
Every image shown here comes from this real assignment and was photographed and edited by Martin Hannus. The client name and exact address are intentionally omitted.
